Jennifer is a comedian and writer best known for her blog (JenIsFamous.com) and for orchestrating the Williamsburg Spelling Bee, a real adult spelling bee which has been featured on NPR and in the New York Times, TimeOut NY, various travel and in-flight magazines, and international press including Tokyo Shimbun, German Public Radio, and the Sydney Herald. In 2008, she instituted a new spelling bee in Manhattan in addition to Vocabulary, Geography, Math, and Trivia nights at the Chelsea Market.

Jennifer is well-known in New York’s indie comedy scene for hosting the live show “Monday Evening Stand-Up at Pete’s,” broadcast Mondays on Brooklyn Cable Access Television. She has performed at colleges from Dartmouth to Bowling Green, at clubs from New York to LA, in corporate shows and fundraisers, and around the northeast in Ivy League Comedy shows. During her last Midwest tour, she appeared on the Bob and Tom radio show; in 2007, she toured the East Coast with her one-woman show, “What Philosophy Majors Do After College” (selling out theaters in D.C. and Norfolk), and then embarked on a three-week Armed Forces Entertainment tour, entertaining the troops in the Middle East.

Jennifer’s blog has been frequently quoted on Gawker and is read by over 10,000 people. She is a contributor to “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Jokes” (Alpha/Penguin) and many other books, and has been published several times on McSweeney’s. She is working on a book-length collection of humorous essays.

She is a member of Mensa, and an impeccable speller.
